Legislation passed in the Senate, awaiting House
- DJT fires NY District Court Attorney Berman after he refuses to resign, Berman had been investigating Giuliani. DJT nominates SEC chairman Clayton as Berman's replacement. Berman's deputy Strauss will be acting in the meantime. Administration does not offer any explanation for the firing that makes any sense (source, analysis, more analysis).
- DJT "jokes" about reducing Covid-19 testing, because more Americans dying is apparently funny (source).
- Navy decides it will not reinstate captain fired for trying to protect his crew after all (source).
- Judge refuses to block Bolton's book (source).
- DJT delayed sanctions against China in order to try and get a better trade deal (source).
