Tuesday 12/17
  • Congress passes Omnibus Spending package, there is a lot in there, too much to easily sum up, suffice to say it's a mixed bag - it is the most comprehensive budget package since DJT has been elected and prevents the repeated shutdown threats for a full fiscal year. It also completely ignores DJT's requested budget (source, another take, also mostly pro-science, health care impacts).
  • Giuliani confirms he had U.S. ambassador to Ukraine fired (source).
  • DJT campaign deputy Rick Gates sentenced to jail (source).
  • DJT rejects Senate's recognition of Armenian genocide (source).

Wednesday 12/18
  • DJT impeached (source).

  • Obamacare challenges still going through courts, it'll end up at the Supreme Court eventually but probably not before 2020 election (source).

  • Wall construction is proceeding, very slowly (source).

I saw that and was happy about that! ... Not exactly the same thing, but we don't have debtors' prison now, right?

Good for ACLU on their lawsuit.
