Weekend Update

We ended up with 14 for thanksgiving dinner. In addition to liakela, zammis, myself, and our families we also had kalkail, sharrainchains, and LJ-less Brian and John join us. liakela did most of the cooking and did an incredible job. We were all suitably stuffed. liakela and zammis also pandered to my cheesecake addiction by making a Baileys $amp; white chocalate cheesecake and a pumpkin/chocolate cheesecake. Yum! Friday was spent in recuperation and playing games. Saturday did a bit of sightseeing with my father and went to a big crafts fair in Frederick. Saturday took liakela's kids back to Roanoke - drive was truly unpleasant due to traffic, but we eventually made it home.

Kudos to all the NaNoWriMo participants and an especially hearty congratulations if you managed to finished. I think y'all are crazy, and that's a good thing.

In other news - there are LaRouchies wandering the streets of DC carrying placards and stuff - anyone have repellant for these guys?

Thanksgiving was wonderful - thank you (again) for allowing me to join you. And I agree about NaNoWriMo: I was crazy to start it but so glad to have finished! It was a total catharsis.

As for the LaRouchies, well, they seem to be like human cockroaches: resistant to most repellants. Unless you have the time and inclination to convince them that you are so liberal and so socially conscious that you are unworthy of their time and attention - in that case, they will allow you to walk away from them.

Regarding LaRouchies - It might be fun to try and convince them that it's the aliens or servants of Cthuhlu that are controlling the world, and not the Elders of Zion and the Illuminati, but I think it would be a lost cause.
