We should play a game of Mornington Crescent. As always I use the Discordian rules. Thanks to Fuzz for the suggestion.

For the opening move in this 7/7/2005 memorial game:

Tavistock Square

Edit: Wow, I didn't expect this caliber of play. I lost my Internet connection shortly after starting the game and I finally get back to see championship level moves. Well done all.

Crap, Discordian, German and PUC ? I was fancying a NICE game of MC, not this evil cuthroat stuff. Since Cockfosters preceeded York Road that puts me in a pocket or (ugh) a Loop. I'll inverse pocket the Discordia Rules for 3 rounds, that forces me into the loop so I will play Dollis Hill.

However that should allow an easy exit as long as the game does not close or someone is foolish enough to bridge to one of the Actons.

Ah, love, we're already on to Charing Cross, back in 1998. But if you insist on putting yourself into the Loop...

If no-one else'll have a go, I suppose I'd better step in.

Assuming we're not diddling with the DLR, I'll have to brachiate over to Seven Sisters.

I was resistant to play on this branch again after my misdirected last turn. However, Seven Sisters cleans that up nicely through the Singularity Ruling of 1977.

Going to the DLR or National Rail at this point is tempting, the West India Quay/Limehouse/Royal Albert interlocking would be an excellent move forward. But, also very predictable at this stage.
Nothing in Zone 6 looks good... Oh, it shood have bit me... Arsenal.

Arsenal, eh? Morden would be proud.

I'll just straddle over to Kentish Town then, shall I?

Understandable.

That leaves me with the only sensible plays being Canada Water or Shoreditch (Dunn Loring/Deanwood for those of you in DC, Yankee Stadium/Avenue X for those of you in NYC). I'm not willing to fall into that trap, so to hell with sensibility...

Try this on for size...

Barbican

Barbican?!

whispering; confers

Let me consult the MCPITA monograph from April.

Have you seen today's fax? I just wouldn't feel right if you aren't playing with the full rulebook, so to speak.

You should know that the entirety of the Hammersmith & City and Circle Lines are closed; the Metropolitan Line has no service between Baker Street Station and Aldgate Station; the Piccadilly Line has no service between Hyde Park Corner Station and Arnos Grove Station; the District Line has no service between High Street Kensington Station and Edgware Road Station; King's Cross St Pancras is closed... and they've closed the Gloucester Road station due to a problem with the lifts.

So, in the immortal words of Throxby - the Barbican's tits up for the mo. Unless, of course, we're in 1998 again.

Humph, can we have a ruling?
