Because
principia_coh asked.
1) Total number of books owned?
Somewhere around 500-600, maybe closer to 700 if I count gaming books. I purged a few hundred before making the move to Brunswick.
2) The last book I bought?
The Principia Discordia. 100 of them. I didn't count them in the number of books owned as I plan on giving them away soon.
3) The last book I read?
Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay - a better than average fantasy epic (still no where near George R.R. Martin, but hey, I need something to read).
Other recent reads include Wolf Moon by Charles de Lint - one of his old ones, was pretty good.
Set This House in Order by Matt Ruff - a fascinating book in which two of the main characters have multiple personalities, most of the book takes place inside their heads - highly recommended. May contain triggers for folks with abusive childhoods.
4) Five books that mean a lot to me?
Principia Discordia
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams
Illusions - Richard Bach
Stranger in a Strange Land - Robert Heinlein
Another Roadside Attraction - Tom Robbins
Illuminatus! - Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson
Spiral Dance - Starhawk
Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkein
So I'm not good at math.
