We just had a couple touch down a few miles west for us - headed NW. Another has touched down to the east and is headed our way.

zammis saw one from her place that touched down near Route 28, she's fine, though is without power for the moment.

Edit: We're fine, though my Internet connection got knocked out for a day. Saw some tornado damage near the Brunswick highway exit. Meanwhile had a lovely time at Faire this weekend.

we're right on the edge of where there's power. the strip mall has power, the ODTrail stoplight does not, and its off all the way past the 28 intersection...

...cancelling our birthday dinner plans to hit Dominion.

An eyewitness report on WTOP reported a touchdown near AOL HQ (Waxpool Road/Route 28) heading North earlier.

I was still in DC when this crap started. I crossed Fairfax county during its warning period. Rain was very variable. No hail. No obvious damage along the GW parkway, VA 193, VA 7 corridor.

And according to CNN, the Commonwealth of Virginia is now under a State of Emergency.
