weekend update
14 September 2004 15:43Last weekend had a lovely road trip to Gettysburg. Rather than retyping it you can read Del's report.
I'll add that the Electric Map was way cool. Enjoyed seeing the battlefield, I've never been before - my inner military history buff is satisfied. There's a company that does tours of the battlefield via horseback which I think would be really nifty, may have to do that sometime.
Our stop on Sunday - Fort Frederick was from the French and Indian war, it's located near Hagerstown. It was sort of surreal as it is a rather substantial fort in the middle of no place and no one was there.
Anyway, next weekend I'll be at Faire. Yay.

Date: 14 Sep 2004 14:08 (UTC)Come back for the French & Indian War Grand Encampment some year (they're usually held Memorial Day weekend). You'll see a fair number of redcoats, some woodland Indians, and a few Frogs. :-)
