Sterling report

Spent the weekend with two wonderful, sexy women:
kalkail and
redmysticspyder. I had a great time.
Friday was mostly uneventful driving. Drove out to NJ to pick up my travelling companions and then on to Wolcott, NY. Managed to get a speeding ticket near Ithaca - maybe the new car is a little too fun to drive *grin*. Got into Wolcott around midnight and collapsed. Sorry, no karaoke for me.
Saturday was Faire. The weather was perfect. Sterling Faire was wonderful as always - to any of the renaissance faire fans on my friends list - I highly recommend this faire, the entertainment is simply excellent and the site itself is gorgeous. Afterwords took some time to rest at the hotel, gave and received yummy massages, mmmm. Unfortunately missed the group dinner and ended up getting some pretty mediocre food at a 24 hr place.
Sunday drove over to the Finger Lakes to try a few wineries. Also did the yearly pilgramage to Earle Estates to stock up on mead. Drank many yummy things. After the wineries stopped at Watkins Glen State Park to do a little hiking. The park has a trail that runs along a stream that cuts through a bunch of shale rock formations. Lots of waterfalls and beautiful photo ops. We then had a delicious dinner at Seneca Harbor Station in Watkins Glen. Finally back to Wolcott for a laid back evening of hanging out with friends.
Monday headed home though pouring rain. Stopped in Ithaca to say hi to a friend from H.S. that I haven't seen since graduation. Then continued on to NJ. In NJ had a bit of unfortunate excitement. While in stop and go traffic my precious new car got rear ended. Fortunately no one was hurt and there didn't appear to be any damage to the cars. Still played it safe and called the police, who took over an hour to actually show up. At least the person that hit me was cute. Eventually made it home around 2 in the morning.
This morning took the car in to make sure it didn't have any hidden damage and they gave it clean bill of health, so yay.
