In reponse to Iraqis being tortured . . . everytime I hear someone claim that "it was a few bad apples" or it was "an isolated case" . . . I am very thankful that an organization as reputable as the Intl. Red Cross can consistently respond with "no, it wasn't, abuse was widespread and systematic and we've been telling you about it for over a year now, dumbass." Ok, maybe "dumbass" wasn't in the official report, but it should've been.

in the end, it means not only are many troops over there being nothing but targets for random bombings, but now as in 'nam, the home front's really going to care less and less about them...
