Brunswick Games Day went very well. Thanks to everyone that came out. I believe we had between 80-90 participants. Games I saw being played:

Agricola, Alhambra, Anno 1503, Apples to Apples, Axis & Allies, Bang, Battlestar Galactica, Blokus, Carcassone, Cash 'N Guns Live, Caylus, Chess 4, Chivalry & Sorcery, Connect Four, Cuba, Descent, Dominion, Fluxx, Hey That's My Fish, Ingenious, Kahuna, Keltis, Le Havre, Lord of the Fries, Lunch Money, Mare Nostrum, Munchkin Quest, Pandemic, Qwirkle, Race for the Galaxy, Railroad Tycoon, Red Dragon Inn, Robo Rally, Rorschach, Rumis, San Juan, Santa Fe Rails, Scurvy Musketeers of the Spanish Main, Set, Settlers of Catan - Deutschland, Snow Tails, Stone Age, Tichu, Ticket to Ride, Ticket to Ride Card Game, Traumfabrik, Why Did the Chicken...?

We'll do it again next year, aiming for January 2, 2010.

Edit: missed Dos de Mayo, Equate, Guillotine, Munchkin, and Transamerica

Am sorry to have missed it, had to put LIO the Prius into service to catch up from being away. Very sorry, indeed, having been introduced to Blokus while in NJ a few days ago!

If you want a Blokus fix now and then, there's an online version to be found here: http://www.blokus.com/online-game/

For all that he was glued to the screen, even the boy had fun... and DH says let's try to get there again next year :-)

Hmm... missed one of the girl's new favorites (chicken was the first)... but I can't remember the name other than that it was railroad based, and there was another much like it that was European, but we played the US version... 2 full games of it..

My son loved the computerized Axis & Allies

...he even seemed to figure out the game-play, with a little help from the seasoned players. I only heard urgent cries of "No, Quinn! Don't click there!" a couple of times.

I have to admit that a computerized A&A is appealing to me, as that was the major impediment to playing it for me, growing up...it seemed to take as long to take out, set up, and put away as it did to PLAY.

I *was* rather amused that there was a game noticeably missing... Diplomacy was nowhere in the room. Oddly enough, I think it's the one game that I really associate with EveCon - which was about the only time that time enough could be found to play a complete game (sometimes by some small miracle even two games).

Oh, I know... without the "possible overnight" and multiple days for playing games, it's just scary to even think about pulling it out (having said that, somehow one of the games I played once only lasted about 2 hours - I think we were all in shock :-)

Also played: Guillotine and TransAmerica (renamed for Sam, Kathy, and myself as Executive TransAmerica and occasionally Action TransAmerica).

Thank you so much for doing this Karl. I've put 2010 on the calender... oh crap, I guess that means I'm officially a gamer. *wink*
