Not much to say on the election that hasn't been said elsewhere. I've been enjoying a day where I get to read mostly good news for a change.

I was one of the election judges for Brunswick again. Things ran very smoothly for us, no real problems with the machines - one quit on us, but we had enough that we didn't need it. We had high turn out, which was nice to see. No incidents to report.

Thank you for being an election judge!

Do you know, if one signs up for election working, how variable is the time commitment? Training + ... primary only? Primary and election? Election only?

I think in the entire state of MD if you sign up you are expected to take at least one training (in PG it was only one training session not two sessions) and both the primary, general elections and any special elections. However, we were down four people for the primary because our judges had prior commitments!!! Fortunately, we were ok for the primary.

Turn out in our precinct was 3 times what it normally was. We had one machine hickup, but a restart and check over by our tech had it back in business. Which is good, because when we closed at 8, we had 150+ people still in line.
