I'm back from Mythical Journeys and was pretty damn impressed. Since most of the organizers are on my friends list I want to thank you all again for doing a great job.

This was not a Pagan Festival - we did not go to celebrate, but to do spiritual work. Each track was in essence a weekend long ritual focusing on a single diety. The format allowed a depth of experience that is not often achieved. I'll talk about my own jaunt to the underworld in other post after I've had more time to process.

I'll be back next year.

As a side note [livejournal.com profile] zammis and I are now considering putting a labyrinth in our yard, I still have to measure it out and make sure one will fit, but I think it will. Any of our fellow local Pagans interested in helping us make it? Nighttime picture of the one at Ramblewood taken by [livejournal.com profile] fairerhiannon.

How 'bout Pagan-supportive folks? Liz and I would love to help -- we've been talking about doing one for ourselves, but have just never gotten around to it.

Would also be a good excuse to come up and socialize with y'all (and we can get childcare for Da Plum as necessary).

I'd be honored to help, similarly, if the schedule permits.

Cool -- just give us an idea of dates, and we'll do our best to be there, with implements of earth and plant relocation! ;-)

*love* labyrinth. One will go in my yard as soon as I have a yard in which to install one...

I make no promises about my availability or ability to get up there these days, but I'd be totally down with helping you guys make a labyrinth. I love them too!

"considering putting a labyrinth in our yard"

Have you checked with the appropriate government agency to make sure a minotaur isn't a violation of zoning laws?

'Livestock' my ass. *mutter*

My friend [livejournal.com profile] goldenoak and her fabulous spouse built a labyrinth at their place up in Massachusetts-- I'd be glad to get you in touch with her. It's been there over a year, but I won't get to see it in person 'till about February-- and that's if there's no snow!

Very cool plan! I would love to do that sometime, but need to get me some real property first. Glad to assist in any way.

There are some photos here (http://pics.livejournal.com/goldenoak/gallery/00005ke9), if they're unlocked to public viewing.
