Brunswick Games Day went extremely well. Saw lots of folks I haven't seen since the last one. We got lots of good press. I actually got to play a few games. Thanks to every one that came out and especially Mystic Station Designs, our set-up and take down crews and to [livejournal.com profile] webqatch for running the Looney Labs stuff and to [livejournal.com profile] byronczimmer for running the City of Heroes tourny.

Sorry we didn't make it..we actually didn't have our neices but we had so much laundry, and cleaning to do that we didn't get done until 2am...cause we knew the girls would be back today....

However, I am glad that things went well...

Thank you very much for putting together this event... it was really cool to have something so close to home, and to meet new fun people and play new fun games. I'l be looking forward to next year!

Someone should probably correct the nice young lady reporter on a couple of facts in that story though... like Kory and Allison's company name ("Mystic Game Designs"?) and the fact that Kory has been Gaming Czar at various cons but [unfortunately] not Balticon.

And NCSoft is the production company of the CoH online game, but not the cardgame.

I've found that unless you hand it to reporters on paper that YOU typed out that it will be wrong.

Even then, they still mess it up. I'm creditted for building a 40 foot x 50 foot deck at my school for my Eagle Scout project.

We put up a 16' by 16' deck on the corner of a 40' by 50' plot of land (the one corner had a nasty slope and the deck evened it out.

I ran one quick game of Blokus with [livejournal.com profile] angel_vixen, [livejournal.com profile] aylinn and [livejournal.com profile] tth, and I know [livejournal.com profile] webqatch also ran games of Cosmic Coasters, IceTowers, Zendo, and Just Desserts (the new Looney game currently in beta).

There was also a number of games of EcoFluxx (one of the new Fluxx variants), one really big game (each) of UberChrononauts (tho only Chrono played that day) and Nanofictionary; a few games of Aquarius, Q-Turn, and Volcano; and several rounds of Are You A WereWolf! In other words, LOTS of Looney! :)

Other games I played there

Trias -- save your dinosaur herds while you and opponents make continents break and re-form. You want your herds to be the majority dinos on a given continent, but don't score as much if you're the only dinos in town. This is one I'd like to play again.
Gardens of the Alhambra -- pretty, but I'm not sure how much replay value it has.

Thanks again!

Thanks again for setting BGD up! I couldn't get there until 4 but had a wonderful late afternoon and evening.

Looking forward to getting in more gaming with you in 2006.
