Received confirmation from sporksoma that she and hexar_le_saipe are ok and that their house received relatively little damage. Lost a ferret, but most of the pets made it though as well.

D'oh. I got a couple IMs from sporksoma last night; I shoulda said something then, but it didn't occur to me to tell anyone but Andrew. Ah well; your friends list will have more people they know on it, and all the same ones who would've heard it from me anyhow.

I think they'll post something soon, they're on the edge of destruction zone (near the MS/AL border) so stuff should be able to reach them ok.
