While most of the media focus has been on New Orleans, zammis found some incredible footage of the Mississippi coast at http://www.wlbt.com/. The hotel I stayed at for sporksoma and hexar_le_saipe's wedding is visible near the end of the destroyed highway 90 bridge.

I don't know, I didn't know see had family down there. I think she's still in DC at the moment.
