Spamalot

ptpgrad's post reminded me that I need to plan an expedition to go see Spamalot before it's too late. Who wants to go?

Tickets are expensive (roughly $100), but I figure we could share transportation and (if needed) lodging.

It looks like weekend shows between now and the end of the year are sold out, but there are still tickets for weekday shows which would involve playing hooky from work. I know could do that almost any day, but I don't know about other people. Note that even then we're still probably talking sometime in September at the earliest.

If you're interested in joining me let me know when would be best.

I should tell you, though, that the only way (or so I've heard) people are getting tickets, even for weekday shows, are by going up and hanging around for cancellations. A friend of mine just bought tickets last week -- earliest available was February 2006.

You read that right.

The good news, though, is that all of the original cast have signed on for another year or so after November 2005, so once the hullaballoo dies down, who knows?

The earliest byronczimmer and I were able to get tickets for was 23 December - and that was back in March.

If you're willing to bite it hard on cost, you can pay for the premium tickets, which guarantee boffo seats, much earlier too - but they're $250 each. Yikes!

I do, although I'm not sure I have enough for everyone that's expressed interest - I figure I'll give priority to those that get me money first - though there were still plenty more left for that performance if I need to buy more.
