[ profile] ptpgrad's post reminded me that I need to plan an expedition to go see Spamalot before it's too late. Who wants to go?

Tickets are expensive (roughly $100), but I figure we could share transportation and (if needed) lodging.

It looks like weekend shows between now and the end of the year are sold out, but there are still tickets for weekday shows which would involve playing hooky from work. I know could do that almost any day, but I don't know about other people. Note that even then we're still probably talking sometime in September at the earliest.

If you're interested in joining me let me know when would be best.

When you do, count me in for two tickets and I will meet you here in NYC. MUA!

I'm going to see it with my father and grandfather, but do let me know when you decide to come up. I can meet you before or after the show.

Liz and I would love to do this.

I should tell you, though, that the only way (or so I've heard) people are getting tickets, even for weekday shows, are by going up and hanging around for cancellations. A friend of mine just bought tickets last week -- earliest available was February 2006.

You read that right.

The good news, though, is that all of the original cast have signed on for another year or so after November 2005, so once the hullaballoo dies down, who knows?

The earliest [ profile] byronczimmer and I were able to get tickets for was 23 December - and that was back in March.

If you're willing to bite it hard on cost, you can pay for the premium tickets, which guarantee boffo seats, much earlier too - but they're $250 each. Yikes!

Hey, if you can get better seats than we could find when we looked, more power to ya! :D

I would happily do so, and might even be able to arrange accomidations for us afterward.

Post-september would work best for me.

Not sure if we would be able to go when you plan - but I would love to go see this show.

Keep us in mind.

Ooh, let me check with Gerry. How are you planning on getting there? And are you coming back the same day?

Sounds good - I think we would be interested. Again - will double check with Gerry tomorrow. We just didn't want to drive into NY. Transit sounds good - and going with friends is a big plus!

Kory and I would love to go. However, our circumstances don't make it feasible until mid march or so. to even think about.

However, we still have several friend in NYC so I hereby offer local scouts to find you decent cheap food & such.

IIRC, there's a bus that leaves chinatown DC & arrives in chinatown NYC for only about $35 one way. Kory was eyeing it for just such an occasion.

I meant I apparently travel so much I mistake my airlines with my bus lines. Hee!
