Status of Puerto Rico infrastructure - it's been 312 days and the island is still 5% without power. This will be the last of these messages as the status page is no longer updating, the regions still without power are remote mountainous areas and it's probably safe to say they'll be without for awhile.

  • In Congressional hearings on the separation of immigrant children from their parents ICE official describes detention centers as "like summer camps", officials said they had no plans on ever returning the children when they began the separations (source).
  • Facebook pulls some political pages and accounts suspected of being run by Russians targeting the midterm elections (source).

Wednesday 8/1
  • As Manafort case goes to trial, DJT continues to call for ending Mueller investigation, Mueller continues to collect obstruction of justice evidence (source).
