My sympathies for those in London, fortunately my friends there have reported in safe.

In more pleasant news, but keeping with the English theme, I've finished reading The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory and thought it was excellent. Tells the story of Anne Boleyn from the viewpoint of her sister Mary. Highly recommended, especially to all you MDRF fans. Reminds me I should read historical fiction more often.

A guy reading that book.... I'm impressed. Although you are right. Very good book. BTW, the Virgin's Lover isn't as impressive as The Other Boleyn Girl. I have to admit that's a wonderful book!

And good to hear that you're receiving word on friends and they are safe!!

Ooh I wanted to read that too. Thanks for recommending it.
Trying not to think about London at the moment, just playing the waiting game while my people call in. I know that may take days. *sigh*

Just remember: it's fiction. Mary-Ann Jung, who played Ann Boleyn at MDRF (and is the resident historian) despises that book, because it blends fact and fiction so closely that it's very hard to separate out, and gives a distorted view of the actual events.
