Discordianism 101
15 May 2003 16:33This post is for those of you who are wondering why the world is going fucking insane.
First of all the world has always been fucking insane, you are just getting better at noticing it. The world has never been "normal" and if keep expecting the world to become "normal" you will be perpetually disappointed so you better get used to things being insane.
But, the insanity level of the world may very well be increasing and this phenomenon is explained by one of the central principles of Discordianism:
Imposition of Order = Escalation of Disorder
The powers that be are attempting to impose their vision of the world on the rest of use in a rather thorough manner. According to Discordianism we can expect their actions to lead to increasing chaos in the world. Both world and personal events seem to bear this out.
Trying to stop the chaos is futile, but chaos does not have to be destructive, chaos can also be creative. Things you can do are to prepare yourself for the chaos so that it doesn't ruin your life, and attempt to steer the chaos in a creative direction.
