Yay, TCEP is almost here. I'll be spending this weekend in Laurel, MD playing games. For any slackers that haven't registered yet, I'd be willing to split my hotel room.

For those of you that are going, is there anything specific you'd like me to bring?

For any non-gamers in or near Laurel, if you want to dinner or something while I'm in town let me know.

It's too late for me to swing this year but I presume there will be a Relaxicon 13.

Yeah, it's always Labor Day weekend, though the location could change - this is the first year at this hotel.

I see that you have titan listed in the 6+ hours section, I don't think the con is long enough to play a single game of that one.

Dude, the con is like 50 hours long, easily enough time for a couple of games :-)

Seriously though my average time for a game of Titan is around 7-8 hours, though I have played in a couple of marathon games that went over the 12 hour mark. I hear stories about games of it lasting several days, but if that happens someone is doing something wrong.

I also have heard about the games lasting several days but mostly because the players were equally matched in their strategies..so therefore even 8 hours I think is too short of a time

The really long games happen if everyone is playing defensively - if no one is willing to attack, the game will never end. I usually don't have that problem being the bloodthirsty bastard that I am.
